I was born and raised in Sydney, Australia but have lived in the U.S.A since late 2013. In Australia, I worked as a family physician (general practitioner). After moving to the U.S.A, my focus shifted to my husband, young children, and a long-ignored dream of creative writing. These days, I craft stories and poetry for children, review books for Net Galley, substitute teach in my local school district, and volunteer at The Writing Barn. I currently live, even in winter time, in Chicago, IL. It's not a location that necessarily suits my Australian, warm-weather-blood but I'm holding up surprisingly well so far. I've even learnt how to shovel snow! LEFT: A picture of me with the sparkling water of Manly (Sydney, Australia) in the background |
